Photographer invoice template
For portrait, event, wedding and commercial photographers who bill session fees, deliverables and prints.
Opens the invoice editor with starter line items. Enter your own rates, then download the PDF.
Use the photographer templateWhat to include
- Your studio name and contact details
- The client's name and the shoot date
- Invoice number, invoice date and due date
- Session or day rate, edited images, prints or albums, travel and other agreed items
- Any retainer already paid
- Payment terms and how to pay
Tips
- Put usage or licensing terms that you agreed with the client in the Terms box so they travel with the invoice.
- Record the retainer under “Amount paid / deposit” so the remaining balance is clear.
- Sales tax on prints, albums and digital files differs between states. Check your state's rules and untick “Tax” on lines that are not taxable.
- Bill prints and products as separate lines from your creative fee.
How to fill it in
- Open the template and add your business name, contact details and (optionally) your logo. They're remembered on this device for next time.
- Add your client's name and address, or pick a saved client.
- Edit the starter line items, enter quantities and rates, and set tax, discount or shipping if they apply.
- Choose payment terms (for example Net 30) and add payment instructions in Notes.
- Download the PDF and send it to your client from your own email.
